Testimonials
Julie Martin
Exercise was something that was a part of my life in high school and soon fell off the "to do" list once I hit college. I woke up at 32 and realized I had not made my health and my fitness a priority. I didn't notice the 10 pounds a year I was mysteriously putting on and knew something had to change in my life. I was nervous about joining a gym, but once I got started I knew my life was heading in an entirely new direction.
The reason I wanted a trainer was to have someone to be accountable to besides myself. I needed a routine, direction and someone to cheer me on when I didn't think I could do another push-up. It wasn't easy at first, but David laid out a plan for exercise and diet. Soon I began seeing great results through all the hard work. We trained on an overall fitness plan that included weights, cardio, coordination and strength building.
David is a great motivator and he sets realistic, achievable goals specific to each client. I began losing inches and fat, while building muscle and endurance. I lost 40 pounds and continue to work at this everyday. This was one of the biggest challenges and successes of my life and I couldn't have done it without the encouragement, training and support of David.
Roberto Fiebig
From the beginning, David dedicated himself to truly understanding my
goals as well as what worked or did not work in the past. He makes every
session fun and energizing and is very flexible and creative in how he builds
a routine. Working with David I was able to lose 15lbs of fat while gaining
10 lbs of muscle and increasing my strength dramatically. I look forward
to every session with him.

I've worked with tons of trainers over the past 10 years and ended up giving up my routines each and every time. Out of all my training experiences at gyms all over the country, David is by far the best in every way! He makes me feel like my goals are attainable and keeps me constantly excited about the results. And what about results? Well, I had 6 weeks until my wedding. I've lost over 5 inches total and all my friends say how great I look. People ask me, "What happened?" I quickly reply, "I have the best trainer in the world who helped me through each step.
Work hard, train smart, eat right, rest well, play often… live full!

Fat Loss Bulletin
Having trouble losing fat? Doing weights and cardio? How's the diet? Pretty good? I want to discuss the role alcohol plays in losing weight.
Calories
- The liver is busy breaking down alcohol so fat metabolism slows.
- The alcohol coverts to acetate which raises 2.5x normal after just two drinks.
- The higher acetate level means lipid oxidation (fat burning) reduces by 73%.
- Not too mention, alcohol has at least 100 calories per serving.
Appetite
- Alcohol increases appetite more than a carbohydrate drink; people ate more when served beer or wine versus a soft drink.
- Alcohol raises cortisol (stress hormone) and increases the breakdown of testosterone. Basically, you're telling the body to breakdown muscle and taking way any agents it has to build muscle.
- High cortisol is highly linked with reduced growth hormone levels, osteoporosis, reduced muscle and high abdominal fat.
In conclusion, if you're serious about fat loss, come see me. I can definitely help. Seeking the advice of a qualified trainer and nutritionist is definitely a great step. However, great exercise and eating right cannot win against overindulgence in alcohol.
