Barrett Smith

Barrett is a health and fitness enthusiast, dedicated to helping others reach their goals, whether it be building muscle, increasing strength, losing weight, toning, becoming more functional, advancing in sports and athletics, or eliminating any mental/physical barriers. He strives to motivate, encourage, and lead his clients towards success during every session with fun, challenging, and science-based workouts, personalized to the client’s specific goal. He believes that everyone has to start somewhere, and is determined to help his clients reach the next level, no matter where they are in their fitness journey. Through his academics and research at Texas State University, and his time with Can You Barrett Boot Camp, Train 4 the Games, and Pure Austin Fitness, he has gained experience in training those new to fitness all the way to collegiate and professional athletes.


Barrett constantly strives to help his clients the best of his ability by continually advancing his education in the field. Since receiving his Bachelors of Exercise and Sports Science in 2014, he has earned five different certifications related to health, training, and strength and conditioning. Currently, he studies the influence of the nervous system on movement, mobility, and functionality of the human body, through Z-Health Performance. By becoming a Z-Health Movement Reeducation and Integration Specialist, Barrett is able to help his clients rehabilitate injuries, relieve aches and pains related to movement, and promote healthier and more effective ways of functioning, in turn producing optimal results both in mind and body.


In addition to designing fun yet challenging workouts for his clients, as well as using Z-Health to help with any physical obstacles and to promote effective movement, Barrett believes in teaching his clients the science and form behind each exercise along the way. By doing so, he hopes to provide his clients with the tools necessary to create their own workouts and fitness routines outside of his sessions. When Barrett isn’t with clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Breanna, working towards his personal goal of competing in a powerlifting meet, riding his motorcycle, and hanging out with his family and friends throughout Texas.
