I believe in the art of goal setting. Courage in the face of fears. In the willingness to begin again and again and again (AKA progressing!) And, especially now as a 40-something mom of two very energetic and athletic boys, I believe in recovery! Our time together is personalized and takes a look at the big picture of your life. What happens outside our hours together influences what happens in the gym. I’m here for support, accountability, and inspiration. 

I’ve been a fitness fanatic my whole life. I started swimming competitively at age 8 and swam through college, earning All-American NCAA Academic Honors. I competed in triathlons in my off-seasons and interned with the US Olympic Swim Team coaches at Stanford University in the summers. My post-collegiate years have been focused on running, and I remain competitive in the Austin Masters scene — I won 1st place Masters at the 3M Half Marathon in 2017 and 3rd place Masters at the Austin Half Marathon in 2017 and 2016. I myself am coached by a 4-time US Olympic Trials Marathon Qualifier. I believe being coached helps me be a better coach to my athletes in return. I am currently training for the 2018 California International Marathon.

I’ve coached several clients to their first half and full marathons, with varying distances and personal bests along the way. I’ve helped people improve in the sometimes daunting swim portion of a triathlon. I’ve coached several people through weight loss of 30 pounds or more. I’ve also helped previously sedentary people with significant restrictions in their hips and upper body open up, strengthen, and learn to navigate the gym with confidence. The common denominator here is fun. I utilize such gym toys as TRX, medicine balls, kettlebells, BOSU, and bands whenever appropriate. Even though we will work hard together, I promise you will smile.
